Who We Are

JPC Custom Homes has been Minnesota's luxury homebuilding expert for over 35 years. Working in the industry since 1979, founder John Kothrade grew tired of the shortcuts many builders use to lower costs and fast-track construction. Knowing homeowners deserved better, he set up shop for himself. He wanted to be proud of what he was building, so he built a team around a few basic principles: quality, integrity, communication, and professionalism.

But our reputation for these principles goes beyond our work with homeowners to our relationships with fellow professionals in the field. We've been working with many of the same craftsmen and suppliers since our inception, allowing us to build with the utmost skill, service, and materials available.

It all starts with establishing a collaborative partnership with each and every one of our clients. We then help you choose a building site, plan your custom design, select the ideal materials, and set a plan to work closely with our crew throughout the construction process.
